Update: Pedro Beato is heading to the disabled list to make room for Jaime. So there's that.

The Braves are calling up flamethrower Juan Jaime in time for Thursday's series opener against the Nationals.

It's been 30 minutes or so since Cotillo reported it, which is an eternity on Twitter, and we still don't know the corresponding move. My guess would be David Hale is going back to Triple-A given the way he's struggled lately, though it could also be something like a Dan Uggla DFA or another reliever heading to the disabled list.
Jaime, 26, has a huge arm with a fastball that can hit triple digits. He's posted a 2.39 ERA with Gwinnett this season over 26 innings with 13.67 K/9 and 6.84 BB/9. He basically struck out or walked every batter he faced in the minors, and he'll need to improve his control drastically if he hopes to stick in the big leagues. Here's hoping Roger McDowell can wave his magical pitching wand and eliminate some of those walks.
