In Alex Wood's return to the rotation, he dominated the Astros for seven innings; Justin Upton backed him up with another homer for a 4-0 Atlanta victory.

Collin McHugh put forth a valiant effort, but Justin put the Braves on the board in the second with a sacrifice fly. McHugh allowed just two hits through the first six innings and walked only two (both in the fourth inning).

Then Justin put the game on ice in the seventh with his second homer of the series and it was another long one, landing in the Astros bullpen for two runs and a 3-0 lead.

Alex Wood gave up just three hits in seven innings, striking out four. McHugh took the loss despite nine strikeouts in seven innings.

Tommy La Stella drove in a run in the eighth with a groundout.

Freddie Freeman left the game in the eighth after getting hit with a pitch on his right elbow.
