The Braves made two big picks yesterday, choosing slugging 1B/OF Braxton Davidson with their first pick in the draft, 32nd overall, and projectable right-handed pitcher Garrett Fulenchek with their second pick, the 66th of the draft.
The Braves will add to their draft class today, selecting eight more players that they'll hope to sign to the organization in the draft's third through tenth rounds.
The Braves own the third-to-last pick in the remaining rounds of the draft, in which the teams are ranked from the worst 2013 record to the best. Their first selection on the day is the 102th overall pick.
It will be interesting to see what the Braves do with their picks today. Will they focus on college players, prep guys, or perhaps a mix of both?
The draft will once again be simulcast on MLB.com, and will also be broadcast on MLB Network. The pre-show will begin at 12:30 p.m. Eastern, and the third round begins at 1 p.m.
Use this thread to discuss the Braves' picks and the draft in general. We endorse you following the draft today, whether you're at work or not, because following this is much more entertaining, right?
