Game Thread 7/11: Braves At Cubs

Jonathan Daniel

After salvaging a devil of a series in New York against the Mets with a victory on Friday thanks to the magical creature that is Aaron Harang, the Braves are hoping that a change of scenery will help contribute to another positive streak, as our boys will be traveling to Chicago for 3 afternoon affairs.

Today's starter for the Cubs is Jake Arrieta. With Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel both now enjoying life in the sewage dumplovely O.Co Coliseum in Oakland, that leaves Arrieta as the top dog in Chicago's rotation, and he's been excellent as of late. Meanwhile, Alex Wood will be making his first start against the Cubs after making 2 innings of relief appearances against Chicago earlier this season.

Here are the lineups. Schafer's leading off for the Braves today, which should excite some people. Bless their hearts.
