Game Thread 4/10: Braves vs. Mets

It's Opening Night in Atlanta as the Braves host the Mets for their first of 81 home games.

It's been far too long, but tonight is the night that we've been waiting for for months now; The night where we finally get to hear the familiar tune that is the tell-tale sign that a baseball game is going on in the South. Of course, I'm talking about the Cook's Pest Control theme song!

Fortunately, I'm not going to be mean to you guys and put that earworm into your brain. Instead, I'll let you hear what you came for.

Yep, the Braves are back home. It's on. Here are the lineups:

Today's Lineups

NEW YORK METS ATLANTA BRAVES
Curtis Granderson - RF Cameron Maybin - CF
David Wright - 3B Phil Gosselin - 2B
John Mayberry - LF Nick Markakis - RF
Michael Cuddyer - 1B Freddie Freeman - 1B
Daniel Murphy - 2B Jonny Gomes - LF
Juan Lagares - CF Chris Johnson - 3B
Travis d'Arnaud - C Christian Bethancourt - C
Wilmer Flores - SS Andrelton Simmons - SS
Jon Niese - LHP Eric Stults - LHP

Both of the starting pitchers are making their first appearances of the season, and the Braves lineup appears to be heavy on the platoon-y side. Either way, this should be an interesting one. Home openers are always fun, and here's hoping that this one delivers.
