Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports brings word of McKirahan's suspension, and the 25-year-old would be the first member of the Atlanta Braves (at least on the Major League side) to receive a PED-related suspension. McKirahan was claimed on waivers from Miami on April 1, and since arriving, the left-handed has appeared in three games, pitching 4.1 innings with a 4.15 ERA (2.78 FIP) and two strikeouts against just one walk.
The Braves could turn to left-hander Ian Thomas as a potential replacement, though no formal announcement (or confirmation of the suspension) has been made at this time. Stay tuned.
