Game Thread 4/3: Braves at Orioles

Shelby Miller makes his final start of Spring Training as the Braves take on the Orioles on MLB Network.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Braves will close Spring Training with back-to-back games against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday and Saturday. The first installment of those contests take place in "prime time", as Shelby Miller squares off against Ubaldo Jimenez on MLB Network.

Even with the news that Eric Stults (and not Wandy Rodriguez) will take the reins as the fifth starter, there are plenty of battles still happening with regard to making the Opening Day Roster. That is, of course, the prime takeaway from any Spring Training game, but especially so over the final weekend.  In addition, Miller can make another positive impression with a strong showing against an American League offense

Here is Atlanta's lineup for tonight's game:

  1. Young Jr. - CF
  2. Peterson - 2B
  3. Freeman - DH
  4. K. Johnson - 3B
  5. C. Johnson - 1B
  6. Gomes - LF
  7. Bethancourt - C
  8. Simmons - SS
  9. Cunningham - RF

The game will be broadcast beginning at 6:05 pm ET on MLB Network, and it can be heard 1230 AM, 1340 AM and online at MLB.com. Let's chat our way through the festivities with an eye toward Monday and the long-awaited first pitch of the 2015 MLB season.
