On a busy day for the Braves after extending the entire coaching staff, they also signed free agent LHP Ross Detwiler
Sources: #Braves sign free-agent LHP Ross Detwiler. Had been released by #Rangers.

Detwiler pitched for the Washington Nationals for 7 seasons primarily as a starter before moving on to the Rangers splitting time between starting and the bullpen.
Detwiler's time with the Rangers was less that ideal, although he was solid as a pitcher for the Nationals.
Ross Detwiler, 29, was 0-5 with 7.12 ERA in 17 (7GS) for #Rangers this year. Career 4.10 ERA - 4.26 FIP - in 514 IP mostly as a SP. #Braves

While this isn't a big name signing, it does create some depth in the bullpen, especially in the wake of closer Jason Grilli's season ending injury.
