The Atlanta Braves emerged from the All-Star break with a 4-2 win in Friday's series opener against the Cubs. Eury Perez's two-run single in the eighth was the difference for Atlanta who snapped a five-game losing streak.
The series continues on Saturday where Manny Banuelos will make his third start of the season for Atlanta. He will be opposed by Chicago's Jon Lester. Banuelos could be making one of his final starts this season as he nears his innings limit. He is 1-0 and has allowed one run in 12 innings with the Braves so far this season. Lester comes into the game with a disappointing 4-8 record on the season. He has lost his last two starts and is 2-2 in his career against Atlanta with a 3.60 ERA.
