Freddie Freeman took another step forward in his recovery from a wrist injury that has sidelined him since the middle of June. Freeman played catch and took some dry swings for the first time on Sunday.

Freeman also had fluid drained from his wrist and received a pair of cortisone shots. The plan is for him to be reevaluated again Sunday night and to see how the wrist responds on Monday. There is still no ETA for Freeman's return, but if there aren't any setbacks with the wrist a rehab assignment could be in the near future.
Freeman: "pain is gone. Right now its just sore & achy obviously cause I havent done anything for a month. I think we’re on the right track"
