MLB Hall of Fame weekend: Pedro Martinez's great story on Chipper Jones

Pedro was more than willing to help Chipper's pursuit of a .400 batting average.

Gregory J. Fisher-USA TODAY Sports

Baseball has been played for 130 years or so. In that time, few men to ever put on a uniform were better at their craft than Pedro Martinez and Chipper Jones.

This weekend, Martinez was inducted to the Hall of Fame after a phenomenal career. Chipper will be joining Pedro in the Hall in a couple years. Here's an awesome story involving the two greats:

Chipper flirted with the .400 average in 2008 for months before eventually tailing off in mid-August. He ended the year hitting .364/.470/.574. He was 36 years old.
