Braves Have Four Prospects in MLB Pipeline's new Top 100

MLB Pipeline just revised their prospect rankings for each team as well as their Top 100 prospects overall. Four Braves have graced their list

Brad Barr-USA TODAY Sports

Tis the season of prospect rankings and MLB Pipeline is the latest to revise it rankings. Of course, they did revise their Top 30 Braves prospects

A few notes about the new organizational rankings. First is that 4 of the Braves 2015 draftees are on the list in Kolby Allard (5), Mike Soroka (13), Lucas Herbert (16), and Austin Riley (18). Secondly, several prospects have fallen on their rankings due to new arrivals on the list or questions about their performance this year including Max Fried, Lucas Sims, and Jason Hursh. Finally, both Manny Banuelos and Matt Wisler are not really "prospects" anymore, so its probably prudent to mentally move everyone behind them up two spots.

Pipeline also released its Top 100 MLB Prospects List which featured four Braves Prospects

Jose Peraza (30), Ozhaino Albies (37), Matt Wisler (73), and Touki Toussaint (82) all cracked the Top 100. Wisler actually from the last set of rankings despite a largely successful rookie campaign in the majors, but thats neither here nor there.

Of the Braves Top 30 prospects, 15 of them have joined the organization since the end of last season (including Wisler and Toussaint). With the trade deadline approaching, it will be interesting to see if the Braves add any new names to this list before the week is done.
