The Atlanta Braves hope to snap an 11-game losing streak at Turner Field Sunday afternoon when they wrap up a four-game set against the New York Mets. The Braves rallied to tie Saturday's game in the eighth thanks to a three-run pinch hit home run by Adonis Garcia. However, the Mets answered back with a pair of runs in the ninth sending Atlanta to yet another loss.
The Braves will send rookie Ryan Weber to the mound for his second start of the season on Sunday. In his debut on Tuesday, Weber allowed four hits and two runs in six innings in a loss at Philadelphia. He will be opposed on Sunday by New York's Jon Niese who is looking to regain his form after struggling in his last three starts. Niese allowed five runs and seven hits in just 3 1/3 innings in a start at Washington on Monday. It was the third straight start where he had allowed at least five runs. Niese is 1-0 in two starts against the Braves this season having allowed two earned runs over 11 2/3 innings.
