The Atlanta Braves have lost a franchise record 12 straight games at home. Turner Field had been a refuge of sorts for most of the season, as the team played well at home before floundering on the road. Now the Braves are struggling mightily, regardless of the venue.
Julio Teheran hopes to have something to say about that, as he takes the bump for the Braves against Toronto starter Mark Buehrle. Teheran boasts a 7-2 record at home this season, as he as been much better at Turner Field than in his road starts. Buehrle has hit a bit of a rough patch lately, with a 6.46 ERA in his past three starts. A number of hitters in the Braves' lineup have had success in their careers against Buehrle, so maybe they can jump out to a lead, eliminate the losing streak, and get the monkey off their backs.
