The Atlanta Braves open a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies Friday night at Turner Field. The Phillies enter the series with a 56-91 record which is one game worse than Atlanta's 57-90 mark. While this weekend's series is meaningless in many regards, it could play a big part in next season's draft order.
The Braves will send out Williams Perez for Friday's season opener. Perez is 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA in his last three starts. He allowed eight hits and three runs over six innings in a no-decision against the Mets last time out. He will be opposed by Philadelphia's Adam Morgan who is 5-6 with a 4.60 ERA in 14 starts so far this season.
