FanDuel Fantasy Baseball Picks: September 28

Monday without Braves baseball isn't quite as entertaining, but DFS saves the day.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

It is the final Monday of the 2015 MLB season, and with the Atlanta Braves enduring an off day, we turn our attention to daily fantasy sports. Let's see how we do.

SB Nation and FanDuel continue to partner on daily fantasy baseball, and we regularly bring you "recommended" lineups. Today, we will break out a winning (we hope) group for the evening slate, and hopefully, things will go well.

Editor's Note: SB Nation's partner FanDuel is hosting a $100,000 one-day fantasy baseball league today. It's $3 to join and first place wins $8,000. Enter now!

As usual, fading my picks may be your best option, so if you do that, I won't be offended in the slightest.

Note: This lineup would be used in a 7:05 pm ET contest.

P - Lance McCullers ($8,700)

C - Blake Swihart ($2,700)

1B - Albert Pujols ($3,100)

2B - Brock Holt ($2,700)

3B - Travis Shaw ($2,900)

SS - Jhonny Peralta ($2,600)

OF - Mike Trout ($5,000)

OF - Jose Bautista ($4,900)

OF - Brett Gardner ($2,600)

The obvious play on Monday is to go with Zack Greinke. I don't like obvious plays.

Passing on Greinke is risky, but his cost is so enormous that it puts you in a bind elsewhere, and I'll go with McCullers against Seattle instead. On the hitting side, my big stack comes with Red Sox left-handers against Ivan Nova, and that includes Holt, Shaw and Swihart. The big investment comes in the outfield with Trout and Bautista in juicy match-ups, and even with Pujols and Gardner having spotty seasons, the value is there.

The slogan, as always, is to simply make money, and this lineup can (hopefully) help you get there. Let's do this together.
