Bartolo Colon reportedly agrees to deal with Braves (Updated)

The 43-year-old pitcher will spend next season in Atlanta.

Bartolo Colon — aka “Big Sexy” — has apparently agreed to a deal with the Atlanta Braves.

Colon, now 43-years old, is the second starting pitcher the Braves have signed in recent days, after signing knuckleballer R.A. Dickey to a 1-year deal on Thursday.

Colon has resurrected his career in recent years, and accumulated 44 wins over the past three seasons with the New York Mets.

The Braves seem adamant about not blocking any of their young pitchers with multi-year deals. Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal reports that Colon’s deal is for one-year at $12.5 million pending a physical.
