The Braves drafted Weber in the 22nd round of the 2009 MLB Draft. He made 16 appearances with Atlanta mostly in relief going 1-1 with a 5.45 ERA. He allowed 46 hits in 36 1⁄3 innings. In his career, he was 1-4 with a 5.15 ERA in 21 career games.
Weber performed well for the most part at the Triple-A level but failed to make much of an impact with the major league club. With the Braves looking to clear room on the 40-man roster, Weber became expendable and was snatched up by the Mariners.
