Just in the past week or so, Keith Law has been a busy bee (or probably longer given the amount of time and effort that goes in to these undertakings) in terms of putting out a lot of content for those of us who love prospect lists big and small. He continued this output with the release of his organizational top ten lists today.
You can find my top ten prospects and full farm system report for every MLB team here (Insider): https://t.co/nLccmjMIPc— keithlaw (@keithlaw) February 16, 2016
The lists are Insider content, but I highly recommend folks sign up if they are able (also true of Baseball America and Baseball Prospectus...all these guys do great work).
Most of the list for the Braves can be figured out from Keith's Top 100 which featured seven Braves, who were (in order) Dansby Swanson, Ozhaino Albies, Sean Newcomb, Aaron Blair, Kolby Allard, Touki Toussaint, and Max Fried. Keith also identified Tyrell Jenkins as a guy who just missed his Top 100 which gives us 8 out of the 10. The 9th and 10th spots belong to Lucas Sims and Braxton Davidson respectively.
We aren't going to go in to great detail given the presence of a paywall, but Law does go on to give some to guys outside the top ten some love including Mike Soroka, Ronald Acuna, Zack Bird, and Lucas Herbert among others. Acuna in particular is a guy that Law notes has been a popular player among teams trying to make deals with the Braves this offseason despite the fact that he is still very young and has not played above rookie ball yet.
