Jace Peterson has struggled mightily this season. After playing through much of the second half last season with a thumb/wrist injury that sapped his production, he was not good for the Braves this season either with a triple slash of .182/.260/.205. When the Braves sent him down to Gwinnett, it was with the goal of getting him more regular at-bats and getting his confidence back. Now it appears that the Braves’ need back with the big league club.
Roster move: Jace Peterson has been recalled from @GwinnettBraves.

Now, lets this out of the way....Jace has not been good in the minors either with a .186/.275/.258 line in 26 games in AAA this season. The Braves have not announced any corresponding moves, so it will be interesting to see what role Jace occupies with the Braves going forward. Its worth noting that he has seen a fair bit of time in the outfield during his stay in Gwinnett.
