Worried about the Atlanta Braves front office? This ranking might ease your mind

The Atlanta Braves are rebuilding and, by nature of struggles at the big league level, there is a great deal of pressure on the team's front office. However, fans shouldn't worry about who is managing the team's direction, at least according to a recent ranking of front offices across Major League Baseball.

Jesse Spector of The Sporting News put together a 1 through 30 look at the league's front offices, and the Braves came in at number 12. Here is what he had to say about John Coppolella and company:

You can take issue with the Braves having blown up their team to rebuild, but there is no doubting that John Coppolella is proceeding well with that rebuild, gathering as much pitching talent as possible while sprinkling in some high-end positional talent like Dansby Swanson and Ozzie Albies. The Braves will have another top draft pick next year, which should only serve to further the goal of building a sustainable, long-term winner built around pitching – which should be a familiar notion to Atlanta fans.

As noted by Spector, many have taken issue with the overall plan to "blow it up" to build for the future, but given where the organization's farm system was and the rigidity of the major league payroll, it was almost certainly the best option. As such, Coppolella and John Hart have made the most of that direction, acquiring masses of young talent (mostly in the realm of pitching) with more to come.

Fans, especially ones of a casual nature, have little patience for a long rebuild and there is certainly a shelf life to losing at the big league level with "hope" of prospering in the future. Still, the front office for the Atlanta Braves continues to receive high marks from pundits across the sport and this is another example.
