The Dodgers clubbed four homers, including three by rookie phenom Corey Seager, as the Braves fell to the Dodgers 4-2 on Friday night.
The Braves moved out to an early 1-0 lead in the first. Freddie Freeman drew a two-out walk, and after a wild pitch, Adonis Garcia singled him home. In the second inning, Mallex Smith scorched a ball up the middle to plate Atlanta's second run of the game.
Teheran's biggest weakness has always been the long ball, and the Dodgers certainly took advantage of it tonight. Corey Seager went deep in the fourth and sixth innings, while Trayce Thompson knocked one into the center field bleachers in the fifth. Seager hit his third dinger of the night in the 8th to push LA up 4-2.
Brian Snitker inexplicably pulled Teheran in the sixth inning after just 85 pitches. Julio's final line was 5.2 IP, 3 H (all homers), 3 ER, 2 BB, 7 Ks. It's taken me about two weeks to determine I want someone else as manager in 2017.
The Braves and Dodgers will continue their series tomorrow night at 10:05 ET. With Mike Foltynewicz battling elbow spurs, it will be Bud Norris or John Gant making the start.
