If you didn't stay up until 1 a.m. on Friday night/Saturday morning to watch the Braves take on the Giants in the house of horrors known as AT&T Park, don't fret. You didn't miss much of anything. The Braves fell to San Francisco by a score of 7-0. It was about as fun as you can imagine.
Joel De La Cruz made the start and was hit around early and often. He's now 0-7 on the season after lasting just four innings. He gave up seven hits and allowed six runs, though just three were earned. Jeff Samardzija threw seven scoreless frames for the Giants, and their bullpen completed the shutout for the victory.
Dansby Swanson went 1-for-4 with a single. Freddie Freeman and Ender Inciarte continued their monstrous 2nd halves of 2016 with a pair of doubles.
The Braves and Giants will continue their three-game series on Saturday night at 9:05 p.m. ET. It will be Mike Foltynewicz on the mound against Jake Peavy.
