Fernandez was just 24 years old and was one of the best young pitchers in the game. Truly a sad day for the Miami Marlins and for Major League Baseball. Our prayers go out to his family and to his teammates.
The Atlanta Braves organization sends our deepest condolences to the family of Jose Fernandez and to the Marlins organization.
