  • Tim Hudson turned in an impressive two-way performance on June 20, 2011 in a game against the Marlins. Hudson pitched 8+ innings of scoreless ball, striking out eight while allowing just two hits and one walk. At the plate he went 1-3 with a two-run homer in the seventh which would provide the game's only runs. His 0.598 WPA was divided almost equally between batting (0.295) and pitching (0.303)
  • Less than a month later on July 15th, Hudson earned the win in the franchise's 10,000th victory. The Braves are one of only eight franchises to reach this threshold. Subsequent teams have made it their goal never to reach 11,000.
