The Atlanta Braves will try to make it six straight wins on Sunday when they wrap up a three-game set against the Philadelphia Phillies. Julio Teheran will be on the mound for the Braves and will be opposed by the Phillies’ Jake Thompson.

Teheran struggled in his first two starts following his return from the disabled list but returned to form last time out tossing seven innings of two run ball in a win over the Padres. Teheran is just 4-9 on the season but with a 3.12 ERA and has limited opposing hitters to a .219 average over 24 starts.

The Phillies will counter with right hander Jake Thompson who is 1-4 with a 7.86 ERA in five starts. Thompson struggled allowing 21 runs in his first 19 13 innings but put together a solid outing last time out allowing seven hits and two runs over seven innings in a loss to the Nationals.

He will face a stiff challenge from a Braves offense that has been on a roll for the last month. Atlanta scored 140 runs in August with a slash line of .268/.343/.429. They have put up 23 runs through three games in September with 14 coming in the first two games against Philadelphia.
