The rest of the 2017 Hall of Fame class will be announced on Wednesday on the MLB Network. Coverage gets underway at 3 p.m. ET with the announcement slated to take place at 6 p.m.
The front runners for enshrinement appear to be longtime Expos outfielder Tim Raines, former Astros first baseman Jeff Bagwell and first ballot nominee Ivan Rodriguez. Guys like Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens have seen an increase in their support so it will be interesting to see what the final totals look like when they are announced.
Braves President John Schuerholz and former commissioner Bud Selig will also be among the 2017 Hall of Fame class. Both were elected by the Today’s Game Era Committee in early December. Schuerholz was a unanimous selection while Selig received 15 of 16 possible votes.
