The Road to Atlanta is a podcast devoted solely to providing information and analysis of the Braves minor league system and Braves prospects. Garrett Spain, Gaurav Vedak, and myself provide in-depth looks at the players that are toiling in the minor leagues each week.
In this week’s episode, we take a look at high-A. 2016 was a rough season on a number of levels for the Carolina Mudcats. We look at some of the players on the Mudcats, speak in broad strokes about the struggles the team faced, and who are some players that may have been better than their numbers indicate.
Once the sad part was over, we looked at the Braves’ new high-A affiliate, the Florida Fire Frogs, and previewed who we think will be playing there in 2017. The Fire Frogs could very well be one of the better teams in the entire minor leagues which is hardly surprising given the success the Rome Braves had last year. Also, Gaurav nearly died making this podcast, so give this a listen if for no other reason that he somehow pulled it together to make it through and we made fun of him a good bit. Enjoy!
