Ronald Acuna
1-8, HR, RBI, .344/.425/.672
Acuna didn’t have much success in game one with two strikeouts to go along with a fly out and a line out, but his single hit in game 2 was a big one. Acuna struck out in a 7 pitch battle his first time up before flying out and popping out in his next two plate appearances. In his final at bat of the game in the 8th inning Acuna turned on a 1-0 pitch for his 5th home run of the season, tying teammate Alex Jackson for the league lead.
Max Fried
4 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 6 K
Max Fried struggled for the first time in his fall league stint this season, mostly due to a poor first inning. Fried allowed the first two men to reach base on a walk and a hit before a fielding error allowed the first run of the inning to score. Fried allowed another single and a walk before recording his first out on a strikeout, but then allowed a 2 run double that pushed the game to 4-0. Fried got a strikeout and a ground out to end the nightmare inning, and from there settled in and didn’t allow much more. Fried allowed one hit over his next two innings while striking out 4 batters, and was one out away from completing his fourth inning before allowing a home run to DJ Peters. Fried got a lineout to end the inning and close the book on his start.

Alex Jackson
0-4, .286/.344/.607
Jackson was quiet at the plate in his lone game action this weekend, with a ground out, a couple of pop outs, and a fly out. He still holds a share of the league lead with his 5 home runs this season, but has dropped off going 0 for his last 10 and is now only 12th in the league in OPS (because that’s so terrible).
Austin Riley
2-8, 2 2B, .326/.392/.739
Austin Riley had the only multi-hit game of any Braves prospect over the last couple of games, starting with a 1 out double in the top of the 4th inning that started a rally for Peoria. Riley eventually scored on a triple to cut the deficit to one for Peoria, and a single later in the inning tied things up. Riley doubled again in his next at bat but was stranded at second base, then ended his day with a hard line out to center field. Riley went 0-4 in Friday’s game, ending his hitting streak at 5 games, but he still leads the AFL with a 1.131 OPS.
Corbin Clouse
1 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 2 K, 6.75 ERA
Clouse was the first pitcher to replace Max Fried for Peoria, and like Fried struggled at the outset of the inning. Clouse allowed a leadoff single before getting a strikeout for the first out, then allowed a walk and 2 more singles that scored 2 runs and left runners on first and second with one out. After a coaching visit Clouse settled down and struck out the next batter, then got a ground out to end the inning.
Josh Graham
2 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 6.43 ERA
Despite a bit of trouble in his two innings of work, Josh Graham was able to work both innings scoreless to extend his streak to 4 straight inning without a run allowed. He started his day off with a relatively smooth 5th, getting a strikeout to the first batter and a fly ball to end the inning after a 2 out single put his first baserunner aboard. Graham allowed each of the first three batters to single in the 6th inning, but picked off the first of those and ended the inning with a strikeout and a fly out to complete an adventurous 6th.
