Another sure sign that we are closing in on the start of spring training is the annual release of projections for the upcoming season. While not computer generated like PECOTA or other statistical measures, USA Today has released their predictions for the 2017 season and have the Atlanta Braves to finish with a 70-92 record.

Baseball Prospectus released PECOTA projections on Tuesday and predicted the Braves to finish 76-86 which is ahead of the Philadelphia Phillies and just one game worse than the Miami Marlins in the NL East.

For what it is worth, USA Today was nearly on point with their prediction for the Braves in 2016. They predicted a 67 win season for Atlanta in 2016 while the Braves won eight of their last 10 games to finish 68-93.

What do you think? Where will the Braves finish in the NL East? Can they finish with at least a .500 record?
