Atlanta acquired Walker in a waiver claim of their own from the Baltimore Orioles last month.
Walker had appeared in six games with the Braves this spring and was 2 for 16 at the plate with a home run and two RBIs. The Braves now a two open spots on the 40-man roster which gives them some flexibility for rounding out their bench.
Walker appeared in 13 career games for the Orioles going 4 for 27 with a homer and a double.
