The Braves are undefeated at SunTrust Park as play begins on Sunday, and with Bartolo Colon on the mound they have an opportunity to continue their ascension in the NL East. Though Atlanta got off to a horrid start, the improved performance of both their defense and bullpen over the past four games has been cause for optimism, and has helped them climb back toward the .500 mark early on.
Last night it was a combination of a strong outing from R.A. Dickey and back-to-back homers from Brandon Phillips and Adonis Garcia that lifted the Braves over the Padres, and today they will look for more of the same. Colon will need to bounce back from his last outing and the Atlanta offense will look to continue to produce as they have in recent days.
