The Atlanta Braves are, quite suddenly, on fire as winners of four straight games. Some of that has to do with their weekend opponent in the San Diego Padres but, nonetheless, Brian Snitker’s team is cooking and we are here to talk about it. Scott Coleman joins the Talking Chop podcast for Episode 61 and topics include the following:

  • The Padres are bad. We know it. How much does it matter?
  • SunTrust Park is now open for business and one of us visited the building over the weekend
  • Freddie Freeman’s hilarious inability to slide
  • Matt Kemp and Chaz Roe are on the DL and Tyler Flowers may be joining them
  • Nick Markakis and Ender Inciarte are enjoying success at the dish
  • The kids in double-A are throwing darts from the mound and they are (very) young
  • How will Brandon Phillips’ hot start impact Ozzie Albies and his arrival to the big leagues?
  • Adonis Garcia is a thing but could we see a platoon in the near future?
  • Much, much more
