Game Thread 4/23: Braves vs. Phillies

Can the Braves salvage a game of their series against the Phillies?

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Braves will attempt to secure a game in the finale of their three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Braves will send Mike Foltynewicz to the mound in hopes that he will put together a strong performance, as he faces Zach Eflin of Phliadelphia.

The Braves will put Brandon Phillips in the two-hole today, with Adonis Garcua taking the day off. Jace Peterson plays third and Kurt Suzuki will be behind the plate for Foltynewicz.

The Phillies are sending out a bomb squad of sorts, with bench players Daniel Nava, Brock Stassi and Andrew Knapp finding themselves in the lineup.
