On Thursday, the Braves called up Aaron Blair from AAA-Gwinnett, as a potential long relief arm should they need another in a close and/or extra-inning contest. Blair did not make his way into a game, and is now being sent back to Gwinnett, while Matt Wisler is getting his first call-up of the 2017 season.
RHP Matt Wisler has been recalled from Triple-A @GwinnettBraves and will join the bullpen. RHP Aaron Blair has been optioned to Gwinnett.

Wisler has made 47 starts for the Braves since being acquired from the Padres prior to the 2015 season, posting a 4.88 / 4.88 / 4.87 pitching triple slash. He had pitched somewhat better in his three starts at Gwinnett this season (3.50 ERA, 4.33 FIP).
Blair had a rough 15 starts last season, ending the year with a 7.59 / 6.15 / 5.66 pitching triple slash across 70 innings. He will return to starting at Gwinnett, where he holds a 5.79 ERA and 4.52 FIP.
Wisler will presumably hang around until the Braves are able to recall another reliever, and then return to his starting rotation duties for the AAA club.
