Julio Teheran looks to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Pittsburgh Pirates, who have taken the first two games at PNC Park this weekend. A series of shaky defensive plays have plagued the Braves in both Friday and Saturday’s games, so that will be something to watch for on Sunday. The offense will look to solve Gerrit Cole, who has enjoyed a great deal of success against Atlanta in his young career.
The Atlanta bullpen looked considerably more effective on Saturday, though they were pitching while trailing in instance. More consistency from arms like Ian Karol and Jose Ramirez would be a welcome sign for the unit, which has been largely ineffective to this point.
