MLB: San Diego Padres at Atlanta Braves Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Braves Country had plenty of time to enjoy a baseball-free day on Monday, as the team traveled from Atlanta to San Diego to begin a series against the Padres. That extra energy will come in handy on Tuesday evening, as the two teams get together for a 10:10 pm ET first pitch at Petco Park.

On the bright side for non-night owls, Sean Newcomb is on the hill for the Braves and his starts are appointment viewing at this point. The young left-hander brings ceiling to the table that no one (aside from potentially Mike Foltynewicz) can touch in the current rotation and, for good measure, Newcomb has been rock solid in his early career.

Throw in the fact that old pal Jhoulys Chacin is pitching for the Padres and there are story lines galore! Here are the lineups for this evening’s festivities.

Stay tuned throughout the night and, as always, be gentle and courteous in the comments below. Let’s have some fun and enjoy the baseball.
