A bad ninth inning for Gwinnett offset a solid pitching performance by Andrew Albers in a 5-1 loss to Lehigh Valley.
The IronPigs took a 1-0 lead in the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Hector Gomez. The Braves quickly answered as David Freitas tied the game with a single that scored Micah Johnson in the bottom half of the frame.
The score would remain tied until the ninth where a walk and an error came back to haunt the Braves. With one out, Jason Hursh walked Logan Moore. Herlis Rodriguez followed with a single. Both runners then came around to score on fielding error by Carlos Franco.
Enrique Burgos came on to replace Hursh and allowed RBI hits to Scott Kingery and Dylan Cozens to make it 5-1.
Pat Venditte allowed a one out single to Johnson in the ninth but retired Franco and Freitas to end it.

Mike Soroka was the story in this one fanning a career-best 12 batters over seven strong innings to help Mississippi to a 3-2 win over Biloxi.
The game was scoreless until the fifth when the Shuckers finally broke through against Soroka. Dustin DeMuth led off the inning with a single and scored on a triple by Jacob Nottingham. Clint Coulter followed with a sacrifice fly to give Biloxi a 2-0 lead.
Mississippi struck back in the seventh as Dylan Moore and Austin Riley led off with singles. Joey Meneses and Tyler Nesloney followed with run scoring singles of their own to tie the game at 2-2.
Corbin Clouse made his Double-A debut in the eighth and was impressive working two hitless innings to pick up the win. Clouse walked one and struck out four.
Travis Demeritte singled with two outs in the ninth and then scored on a walk-off double by Kade Scivicque to give the Braves the win.

Tucker Davidson and Bailey Falter locked up in a good pitching duel as the Rome Braves came away with a 4-0 win over Lakewood.
Davidson allowed five hits and four walks but no runs over six strong innings to lower his ERA on the season to 2.28. He struck out four. Falter was up to the task as well allowing five hits and one run while striking out seven over seven innings.
The game was scoreless until the sixth when Marcus Mooney singled to lead off the inning. Randy Ventura followed with a bunt single of his own and the Braves were in business with runners at first and second.
Isranel Wilson tried to move the runners up with a bunt of his own but Falter fielded the ball in time to force Mooney at third. However, Cristian Pache followed with a single to center to score Ventura and put Rome in front 1-0.
The Braves added some insurance in the eighth. Randy Ventura walked with one out and then stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error by catcher Edgar Cabral. Ventura then scored on a wild pitch to make it 2-0.
Isranel Wilson followed with a triple. After a walk to Pache put runners at the corners, Lucas Herbert brought them both home with a double to make the score 4-0.
Bladimir Matos allowed one hit over two innings of relief while Matt Custred worked a scoreless ninth to seal the win.

Danville split a double header with Greeneville on Wednesday winning Game 1, 7-6 before falling in Game 2, 2-1 in eight innings.
Jasseel De La Cruz ran into trouble in the fourth as the Braves allowed a six spot to fall behind 6-0. However Danville answered right back with six runs of their own to tie the game in the bottom half of the inning.
The Braves went in front for good in the sixth as Shean Michel scored on a wild pitch to make the score 7-6.
Kevin Maitan went 1-for-4 in the game and scored a run in the fourth inning. Drew Waters had a tough day at the plate going 0-for-4 with four strikeouts. Jesus Heredia picked up the win with two scoreless innings in relief.
