Long time Atlanta Braves general manager and current vice-chairman John Schuerholz will take his place among baseball’s greats on Sunday with his enshrinement into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Schuerholz is part of the 2017 class which includes Jeff Bagwell, Tim Raines, Ivan Rodriguez and former commissioner Bud Selig.
Schuerholz was the architect of the Braves run of 14 consecutive division titles including a World Series win in 1995. He is the latest member of the group to enter the Hall. Manager Bobby Cox and pitchers Tom Glavine and Greg Maddux were inducted in 2014. John Smoltz joined the group in 2015.
The event will get underway at 1:30 p.m. ET at the Clark Sports Center which is located about a mile south of the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. The ceremony will be broadcast live on MLB Network and can be streamed online at www.baseballhall.org.
