Matt Adams left Sunday’s game in the fifth inning after appearing to suffer a leg injury while legging out a double.

Adams hooked a pitch into the right field corner and motored into second and appeared to grab at the back of his right leg just before he reached the bag. Atlanta’s trainer didn’t immediately come out to check on Adams but did so after an intentional walk to Johan Camargo.

Lane Adams came on to pinch run and remained in the game in left field in the sixth.

Adams has been a valuable piece for the Braves this season hitting .272/.315/.529 to go along with 20 home runs 19 of which have come in an Atlanta uniform.

Update

The Braves are hopeful that Matt Adams will be available on Tuesday.
