The Atlanta Braves look to get back in the win column on Saturday when they continue their series against the Chicago Cubs. Atlanta has dropped the first two games of the series including a 2-0 defeat on Friday.

Lucas Sims will make his seventh start for Atlanta on Saturday. Sims is 2-4 on the season with a 4.41 ERA. Sims has pitched at least five innings in all six of his career starts and pitched into the seventh last time out when he allowed eight hits and four runs over 6 1/3 innings in a loss to the Phillies. Sims’ strikeout rate has been on the rise having struck out 11 over his last two starts including a career-best seven against the Phillies.

The Cubs will counter with lefty veteran Jon Lester who will come off the disabled list to make his first start since August 17. Lester was sidelined after suffering a lat strain and fatigue in his throwing shoulder. He allowed nine runs (seven earned) in just 1 2/3 innings in his last start against the Reds. Lester is 5-2 with a 2.03 ERA in eight career starts against the Braves.

Atlanta has hit .269/.341/.430 this season against left handed pitchers.
