Braves pitching coach search nearing completion, per report
The Atlanta Braves are reportedly nearing the end of their search for a new pitching coach. A name to keep an eye on is former Phillies coach Rick Kranitz who is getting a second interview according to The Athletic’s David O’Brien.
Jeff Francoeur replacing Joe Simpson in Braves’ Broadcast booth
There will be a new look to Braves broadcasts next season when Jeff Francoeur replaces Joe Simpson as the team’s primary lead analyst. Simpson will still be around for his 28th season but will be primarily on the radio. Tom Glavine will also see an increase in TV appearances. It is a refresh that frankly has been needed for quite some time.
Braves have decisions to make before Friday’s non-tender deadline
Teams must decide whether or not to tender contracts to their arbitration eligible players by Friday at 8 p.m. ET. Atlanta still has some decisions to make most notably in regards to Adam Duvall and Arodys Vizcaino.
