Today’s game between the Braves and Phillies features a rubber match of two young right handers who are trying to figure things out at the Major League level.

A few players on the Braves active roster have faced Pivetta before and have had decent success against him. This includes:

Ender Inciarte who is 4-for-7 with 2 walks.

Dansby Swanson who is 1-for-2.

Kurt Suzuki who is 1-for-4.

Nick Markakis who is 1-for-7 with a walk and 2 strikeouts.

Freddie Freeman has also faced Pivetta and is 0-for-6 in his career against him.

Phillies batters have wracked up quite the number of at-bats against Mr. Foltynewicz over the last three seasons. Active players who have faced Folty include:

Maikel Franco who is 4-for-12 with a walk.

Odubel Herrera who is 5-for-16 with a walk, but also with 7 strikeouts.

Aaron Altherr is 2-for-7 with 4 strikeouts.

Cesar Hernandez who is 3-for-13 also has 4 strikeouts to go along with 4 walks.

Carlos Santana has only faced Foltynewicz once and walked.

Andrew Knapp has had the least success going 0-for-8 with 3 strikeouts.

It would seem Ender Inciarte is the man with the plan against Pivetta and for the Phillies Maikel Franco and Odubel Herrera pose a strong challenge for Foltynewicz to try and solve.
