Nick Markakis delivers a walk-off for Braves against Phillies
A comeback. A walk-off. Opening Day at SunTrust Park had a bit of everything as the Atlanta Braves came back from a 5-0 deficit to defeat the Philadelphia Phillies 8-5. Nick Markakis had the big blow with a walk-off three run homer in the ninth but Atlanta also got homers from Freddie Freeman and Ozzie Albies along with a clutch game-tying hit by Preston Tucker.

Tyler Flowers leaves game with oblique discomfort
It wasn’t all good for the Braves who lost Tyler Flowers during his at bat in the second inning after he suffered a strained oblique on a swing. Flowers left the game and was replaced by Kurt Suzuki. From the sound of things, he’s likely facing a stint on the disabled list.
Finally, we can get excited about Braves baseball again

The St. Louis Cardinals strengthened its bullpen on Opening Day with the acquisition of free agent closer Greg Holland on a one-year deal worth a reportedly $14 million.
