Game Thread: Philadelphia Phillies @ Atlanta Braves, April 16

Discuss here as the division rivals go toe-to-toe

MLB: Washington Nationals at Atlanta Braves Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Nearly half of the 19 scheduled Braves-Phillies games in the 2018 season take place by the end of April. Tonight, we will gather around the campfire and behold the fourth.

This evening’s game - and truthfully, the entire series - should be an interesting one. Not only is Julio Teheran vs. Aaron Nola an intriguing matchup, but each team is still trying to decipher which of the high points from the first 14 games are legitimate, and which will fall by the wayside as the season continues.

Will the Braves continue to get unexpected production out of guys like Ryan Flaherty and Preston Tucker? Can Dansby Swanson and Ozzie Albies continue pulverizing the ball?

For the Phillies, how much of their six-game winning streak is legit? Can they continue to string together wins against teams that aren’t the Reds and Rays? Will Gabe Kapler do anything silly?

In case you need a refresher on the underlying subtext of this game, or the lineups each team will roll with, we encourage you to investigate the links below.
