The Atlanta Braves continue their four-game series against the New York Mets on Saturday with Julio Teheran squaring off against New York right hander Jacob deGrom.
Teheran is coming off of two solid outings in a row and will be looking to continue that trend Saturday night. He allowed five hits, one run and struck out a season-high nine last time out against the Phillies. Teheran has allowed 10 hits and three runs over his last 12 innings.
The walks are still a concern as he has issued seven over his last two starts, but he has done a much better job of keeping the ball in the yard having allowed just one home run during that span.
The Mets will counter with deGrom who allowed three runs over 7.1 innings and struck out 12 last time out in a no-decision against the Nationals. He comes into the game with a 3.24 ERA in four starts with 30 strikeouts and just six walks.
