Video: Braves come back to defeat Reds in Ronald Acuna’s debut

Braves rally late to snap two-game skid

MLB: Atlanta Braves at Cincinnati Reds David Kohl-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Braves scored one in the eighth and one more in the ninth to defeat the Cincinnati Reds 5-4 and put a halt to a two-game losing streak.

The big story on Wednesday was the debut of Ronald Acuna Jr. who jumped on the first pitch he saw and drove it to the track in right center.

Ender Inciarte and Ozzie Albies put the Braves on the board in the first. Johan Camargo extended the lead in the third with this double to left.

Albies struck again in the fifth with his seventh home run of the season. That gave him 17 extra-base hits which tied the franchise record shared by Dale Murphy, Chipper Jones and Justin Upton. Not bad company.

A moment Acuna will never forget. His first major league hit came in the eighth on a single back up the middle.
