Freddie Freeman and Ozzie Albies both homered but the Atlanta Braves couldn’t hold down the Los Angeles Dodgers in a 7-2 loss. Atlanta wraps up its’ six-game road trip with a 2-4 record.

Braves’ Sanchez had hotel room burglarized

Sad news here as reports indicate that Anibal Sanchez’s hotel room was burglarized on Saturday and that more than $100,000 in jewelry was taken.

Teheran hopes DL stint helps restore velocity

Julio Teheran is on the disabled list for a bruised thumb but he is hoping the extra rest will help him regain some velocity as well. Teheran admitted to’s Mark Bowman on Sunday that he has dealt with arm soreness at various points this season.

“My arm has been sore,” Teheran said. “As a pitcher, you have games where you don’t feel 100 percent. This year, for me, I’ve been kind of up and down, fighting through soreness. One day, you feel good and the other, you don’t. I don’t think it’s a big deal.”

Teheran is hoping to return from the disabled list in time to start Friday’s game against the San Diego Padres.

“I feel more comfortable now,” Newcomb told me prior to a late-May start at Fenway Park. “I had last year’s experience to take into the season, so I’ve felt more settled in. My fastball has also been working well, and I’ve been able to go from there.”

Rays trade Brad Miller to the Milwaukee Brewers

The Rays dealt Brad Miller to the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday in exchange for first baseman Ji-man Choi. Miller was designated for assignment by the club earlier this week.
