I hope Matt Wisler get reimbursed for the mileage he has incurred between Atlanta and Gwinnett.
With the bullpen seemingly taxed and Lucas Sims having pitched yesterday, the Braves were likely to make a roster move to bring in a fresh arm for the bullpen. Well, that move has happened.
Today's bullpen move: #Braves recalled RHP Matt Wisler from Triple-A Gwinnett and optioned RHP Lucas Sims to Gwinnett.

This is Wisler’s seventh move to or from the Braves’ major league roster. Despite the tough situation he has been placed in regarding how he has been used this year, Wisler has been serviceable with a 4.37 ERA in five appearances with the Braves to go along with a 3.94 ERA in Triple-A in 2018. Wisler does provide some flexibility for a Braves’ squad that may need some with a few of their pitchers ailing at the moment including Mike Soroka and Arodys Vizcaino.
The corresponding move was a predictable one as the team sent Lucas Sims back down to Gwinnett. Sims had seen very limited action for Atlanta in his time in the big leagues this go around as his appearance yesterday was the first game he had played in a week and a half or so.
Sims has posted a 7.84 ERA in six appearances this season out of the Braves’ bullpen while posting a 1.88 ERA in nine appearances (eight starts) in Triple-A.
