Braves promote Wes Parsons from Triple-A, transfer Mike Soroka to 60-Day DL

The Braves continue to shuffle the bullpen

The Atlanta Braves continue to shuffle their bullpen and will reportedly call up right hander Wes Parsons from Triple-A prior to Wednesday’s series finale against the Cincinnati Reds.

The Braves have yet to announce the move but it appears that Matt Wisler is being sent down. However, the Braves currently have a full 40-man roster so an additional move will be required.

Parsons has battled injury throughout his career but has pitched well this season. He began 2018 at Double-A Mississippi where he allowed four runs in 29 1/3 innings. He has made six starts for Gwinnett and has a 2.83 ERA in 35 innings.

UPDATE - The Braves have officially announced the roster moves and have transferred RHP Mike Soroka to the 60-day DL to clear a 40-man roster spot.

Braves’ GM Alex Anthopoulos discussed the decision to transfer Soroka to the 60-Day DL.
